I am very pleased to announce that my dream of having my very own, independent website / blog is now reality. As of March 1, www.morning-java.com can be viewed online as a standalone website. It's still very much in its infancy and has plenty of room to grow. The main theme of course, is coffee because, like millions of people, I enjoy a cup in the morning as I write and read.
In the 'old' days, we'd be at the table first thing with the morning paper and read the latest news while sipping on a fresh cup of hot coffee to start our day. At the least, the morning paper helped us bide our time while the coffee maker was brewing which, even today can take 20 minutes or so.
These days, there's a seemingly infinite supply of reading material, thanks to the internet. Competition is tough but hopefully, morning-java.com will be able to find a comfortable place and gain a decent following over time. It takes hard work and I'm ready to tackle it.
My posts can be about anything, not just coffee. That would get boring quick. I like to write about historical events, how-to, funny stuff, news of the day... If something peaks my interest, I may very well write about it.
I've been writing somewhat steady since I joined the PublishOx blogging site in January, 2020. Originally, my blog was titled, 'The Brave New World' but about a year ago, decided to change it to Morning Java and since then, my posts have been uploaded there and here on Substack.
I will continue to post on Substack, of course as I value the exposure the site provides. It is by far, one of the very best blogging sites in the world!
I'd like to invite everyone to visit morning-java.com and enjoy a good read. Even better if you have a coffee by your side. I’ll be posting regularly on Morning-Java so visit often for material you won’t find anywhere else. Send a message using the contact form and let me know if everything looks / works fine or not. Add suggestions, if you have any.
Oh and that reminds me. I use Proton Mail's encryption service and any messages sent from my website are protected by encryption. I value privacy and also would never share any emails with any third parties.
Finally, I'd like to put the word out to writers who may be interested in having one or more of their posts published on Morning Java. In return, I'll place valuable links leading back to your blog, individual posts and your website, if you have one. The more exposure one gets, the better and I'd like to offer some. Just visit www.morning-java.com and let me know you're interested in submitting a post and I'll get back to you shortly with more information. Yes, you can submit previously published posts as well.
Thanks everyone for your support.
Morning Java - “a good cup of coffee and a good read go hand in hand”!
